libswscale-extra-2 software package provides Libav video software scaling library (transitional package), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libswscale-extra-2
libswscale-extra-2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libswscale-extra-2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libswscale-extra-2 *
You will get with libswscale-extra-2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
